Launch Open Day

Sunday 19 Jan 2020

by Shanesmum

Updated: Sunday 19 Jan

On 1st January 2020 Daybreaks Trust became a fully independent Greyhound homing charity.

Please come along to our official launch open day and help us celebrate this momentous occasion.

Drop in between 10.30am and 2.30pm - For the first 100 families (1 bag per family group) through the doors, we have goody bags containing lots of information, freebies and some promotional vouchers.

We are honoured to welcome Christian Hughes, our trusted vet and supporter from Fivelands Veterinary Centre will be 'cutting the ribbon' around 1pm.

Daybreaks merchandise will also be for sale, come and have some light refreshments and the Team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

We would love to see as many ex Daybreaks residents and their humans as possible.

Thank you for your support in the past, and here's to an exciting journey forward into the future as we continue to care for Greyhounds and find them loving forever homes.

Angie x

What a great day! How wonderful to see so many ex Daybreaks Residents....Willis, now called Brodie had come all the way from Scotland to visit family and came to see us too. He looked beautiful and very happy. :))) Yesterday Florence had come all the way come Wales! :))
I love the photo wall, even though it did threaten to keel over at one point! Xx

Angie and Jo did a brilliant job or arranging everything. So pleased Ruth was able to join us...she has had a rotten time recently. I hope seeing everyone and their Greyhounds has cheered her up. :))

Thanks so much to everyone for your support. Xxx

A fantastic amount raised, thank you so very much. I can only echo what Angie has said, thanks everyone who came and helped. Lovely to see Ruth, hopefully she will soon be 'up and running' and back at the kennels, we all miss her.

So pleased the soup went down well, hopefully it helped warm people up. By the time I went to get some it was virtually all gone!!

Once again thank you for your support. Jo x

Thank you everyone who came along to our launch day today. It was chilly - but the homemade soups went down really well and warmed everyone from the inside!!

It was lovely to see so many Greys & their humans - our photo wall looks lovely and will stay up for a while if you would like to add your own special photo of an ex Daybreaks beauty.

Thank you to Christian from Fivelands Veterinary Centre for cutting the ribbon and officially sending Daybreaks Trust on its way into the future. Also many thanks to all the volunteers who helped out in any way to make today run smoothly - much appreciated. x

We were so happy that Ruth could make it along for the ribbon cutting ceremony - she is so very poorly still but was determined not to miss out on the kennels special day. We wish her all the very best for her forthcoming operation, and are looking forward to having her back at the helm. x

The biggest thanks of the day however, must go to you - our supporters and friends. Your generosity has raised the magnificent sum of £1045.99 for Daybreaks Trust, THANK YOU. x

Sending huge congratulations on your launch day. So lovely to see you all yesterday. Florence did her bit as an ambassador on the way home when we stopped for a break. She’s a shining example of the hard work you do for every greyhound who crosses your path. Love to all. Xxxx
